ABOUT
Goods is the sophomore album from Swedish/Icelandic singer Edda Magnason, a creative, passionate and quirky soul who’s mix of jazz, folk, disco and indie pop takes the listener on a journey through cities that never sleeps, calm country side living and sailing escapes out on the sea. The album was recently released by Adrian Recordings – home of Swedish indie bands This Is Head, MF/MB/, The Bear Quartet and more.
Edda’s plucky music changes beats and rhythms through the songs; she guides you around with her vivid lyrics and her adventurous voice. In addition to Edda’s distinctive piano playing there is a full orchestration, strange keyboards, electric sitars and choirs of Russian sailors.
In 2012 Edda Magnuson will explore her creative territory further as she will start filming the leading part in the movie about the life of the legendary Swedish jazz singer Monica Zetterlund. The film will be shot in Sweden and New York. It will be directed by the Danish Per Fly known for the trilogy “Bänken”, “Arvet” och “Dråpet”. The script is written by Swedish writer Peter Birro known from many dramas on SVT such as ” Hammarkullen”, “Upp till kamp” and “Det nya landet”.
